from 2009 - 2012 are taking part in the Armenia national chess championship
2013. The Armenian Chess Championship 2013 will take place January 11-21,
2013. Ten of the strongest Armenian Grandmasters will compete in a round

organize 2013 World Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad in Chongqing, China, from 21
July (Arrival) to 30 July (Departure). The Youth Olympiad will be conducted
under the auspices of Federation Internationale Des Echecs (FIDE),
Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Chongqing Sports Bureau.

rounds at the 11th Parsvnath International Chess Festival in New Delhi. He
beat International Master Kirill Kuderinov to take the lead and is followed
by Grandmasters MR Lalith Babu, Lu Shanglei, Vaibhav Suri, Ankit Rajpara
and Anup Deshmukh at four points each.
Meanwhile, Sushant Bannerjee won the Category ‘B’ tournament of the

The 31st Annual Empire City Open was held from December 28-30, 2012, at the
New Yorker Hotel, 481 Eighth Ave at 34th St, across from Penn Station, New
York, according to a Fide chess news update.
M Alex Fishbein finished in clear first with an undefeated 5/6 to earn
$1200 for his weekend’s efforts. Fishbein led from the start, winning his
first four games and drawing his final two to take the title. Just a
