The fourth game of the FIDE World Championship Match, sponsored by Tamil
Nadu state and currently ongoing in Chennai, finished in a draw after 64
moves of play. Anand started the game with 1.e4 and Carlsen responded with
the Ruy Lopez Berlin defence. The opening earned its rock-solid reputation
during the famous Kasparov – Kramnik match in London, 2000.
Anand entered the main line where the queens are exchanged and black

Chess Classic ‘A’ (for players rated over 2000) & Al Ain Classic ‘B’ (for
U2000 players) scheduled for 17-29 December 2013 at the UAE University in
Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
The tournament will be held along side the World Youth Chess Championships
2013 over 10-round Swiss and the total prize fund is $30,000. The top prize

and presented the prizes at the Umada Cup. He was royally entertained by
the Aruba Chess Federation, its President, Octavio Croes and Secretary,
Maurits Dijkhoff and met with Presidents of other Caribbean Chess
Federations, including the new President of the Trinidad and Tobago Chess
Federation, Anderson Gordon. Ryan Harper retained his title, only giving up

Game 3 of the FIDE World Chess Championship Match in Chennai finished in a
draw shortly after the first time control today. Magnus Carlsen, as White,
was ready to enter the opening discussion by repeating the Reti setup from
the first game. Only this time he made an early c2-c4 advance, before
committing with the d-pawn.
Viswanathan Anand responded by taking on c4 and the play was definitely

On November 10th Kirsan Ilyumzhinov arrived to Tunisia. In the airport of
Monastir he was welcomed by the President of Tunisian CF Mr. Yousri Daly.

The Komodo Chess Engine leads Stage 4 of the strongest computer chess
championship TCEC. Komodo has collected 3,5/5, half a point ahead of
Houdini and Stockfish. With two victories, three draws, and zero losses,
Komodo continues its fantastic performance confirming his victory from
Stage 2 of TCEC, and the dominance on the board at Stage 3.
