Hebatnya lagi, Medina menggenapkan gelar Woman Grandmasternya dalam usia 16 tahun 2 bulan 16 hari! (Medina kelahiran 7 Juli 1997) Ini berarti memecahkan rekor WGM yg dicetak Irene Kharisma Sukandar (Irene kelahiran 7 April 1992) yang waktu itu mencapainya dalam usia 16 tahun 7 bulan 18 hari di Olimpiade ke-38 di Dresden, Jerman, tahun 2008!

Setelah kabar gembira ini sampai ke Jakarta, ucapan selamat pun mengalir. "Puji Tuhan! Syukur! Selamat!," tulis GM Utut Adianto. Bahkan Ketua Umum PB Percasi Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo menyempatkan diri menelepon langsung menyampaikan ucapan selamatnya. "Nanti sebelum Indonesia Open kita bikin syukuran di Jakarta," kata Hashim yang baru terpilih lagi sebagai Ketua Umum PB Percasi.
Salah seorang penasehat PB Percasi, Eka Putra Wirya, yang selalu menonton pertandingan Medina dan kawan-kawan secara live, langsung mengirimkan ucapan selamatnya begitu pertandingan selesai. Bahkan wartawan Jakarta Post Musthofid Saleh mengirimkan kegembiraannya di tengah-tengah pertandingan: "Sepertinya menang nih," tulisnya melalui pesan bbm!
