Hi everyone,
The latest update from Reykjavik Chess Open is that the talented Fabiano
Caruana is in sole lead after seven rounds. Half-a-point behind are Ivan
Sokolov and Boris Avrukh. Before the standings, first a nice video from the

London Chess Classic director IM Malcolm Pein has said that the Candidates'
schedule in London (October 24th - November 12th) might jeopardise the the
organisation of the 4th London Classic in December.

Some Latin American chess news via www.chessdom.com. WGM Claudia Amura has
won the first edition of the Magistral Edith Soppe which took place from
March 2-8 in San Luis, La Punta. Organised by the local university and
government, the tournament was a closed event with the participation of six
players which included one GM, two IMs, one WGM, and one WIM.

the Doubletree Hotel Pittsburgh Green Tree, 101 Radisson Drive, Pittsburgh.
The event has a $12,000 projected prize fund with $9,000 guaranteed.
The event has 5 sections: Open, Under 2100, Under 1800, Under 1500, and

Group B, Indian Grandmaster has won the Cappelle la Grande. We have the

take place from 5th to 8th April at the Ponta Mar Hotel, Beira-Mar in
